We celebrated our 69th Republic day to commemorate and honour the day when the Constitution of India came into force( 26th January 1950) as the governing document of India.
The national flag was unfurled by our Principal, Mrs. Shobhana Prabhakaran. Addressing the children, our Principal she explained the importance of the Constitution and the rights it guarantees to the citizens of India. She implored the students to value our freedom that was earned from the sacrifice made by many people who laid down their lives freeing our country from years of British rule. On the occasion of the Republic day, a small skit was performed by our children. The programme ended with the rendering of the national anthem.
