
INDEPENDENCE DAY-AUGUST 15, 2018
The 72nd Independence Day celebrations began with a prayer followed by flag hoisting by Additional Trustee-Secretary Mr. Venkatappa who spoke about the fundamental rights of liberty, equality and fraternity given by our constitution. He added that our great leaders had struggled selflessly to give us the freedom which has made it possible for India to stand today as one of the superpowers in the world. Our Principal Mrs. Shobhana Prabhakaran spoke about the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives and dreamt to see a better India. She emphasized that it is only through education that we can work towards a better society which is clean in all respects .The students of class IV displayed a small skit depicting a free India irrespective of caste and religion. Role play was presented by students of class 6,7,8 and 9 who dressed themselves as our national leaders liberating India from the British rule.
