Annual Sports Day- Standard II

The Annual Sports day event of Standard II was held on 18th August with fervor and excitement. Mr. Venkatappa, the Additional Trustee-Secretary spoke about the importance of sports for the all round development of children and wished them all the best for the events. Our Principal, Mrs. Shobhana Prabhakaran spoke about the inclusion of sports in the CBSE curriculum and to catch the children at their young age so as to channelize their potential and energy in the right direction. She also encouraged and motivated the parents to be supportive of their children despite the outcome. The children displayed wonderful aerobic movements while grooving to the patriotic musical ”India wale”. This was followed by the display of tri-coloured hoopla rings to the song “Vande Mataram“ .The yoga and karate displays were performed with ease at amazing energy levels that was highly appreciated. The athletic champions competed at great speed and stamina that caught the eye of the parents. Trustee secretary of NEF Ms. Aisshwarya D K S spoke about the importance of sports in early life and appreciated the various departments of people who worked for the event. The winners were honoured with gold ,silver and bronze medals .
